The eagerly anticipated follow up to Bismillah, In Praise of the Last Prophet by Yusuf Islam has now been officially launched! In the words of Yusuf: "This collection of songs extolling the Last Prophet is an attempt to portray and fortify the love that every Muslim should have for the Messenger and which is essential. Love of the Prophet is something the early Muslims overflowed with and is something we should try to emulate." Using the rose, which has traditionally come to symbolize the Prophet Muhammad (saw), designer Khaleel Muhammad has taken the theme to its natural conclusion and utilized a different rose for each title track. As he stated: "On Bismillah the emphasis of the album was on the 99 attributes of the Creator. I could not think of a more diverse way of showing His Beauty and Majesty than by using a multitude of flowers, of which no two are alike. Similarly, flowers naturally became the main theme when I realized that the rose, one of Allah's most fragrant and sought after flowers, had been used to symbolize the Prophet (saw) throughout the ages. I pray that I have suitably honoured the best of creation with the designs on this album and many more to come." We're sure you'll agree, the effect is stunning and quiet pleasant The album includes sayings of the Last Prophet (peace be upon him) poetry read by Yusuf Islam and songs from artists from around the world.
